As an attorney for over 20 years, Rob Cohen has experienced professional success in both the litigation and transactional areas, including prevailing at a jury trial in which his client was awarded $265,000.00 in damages, and handling a complicated acquisition in which a closely held corporation his firm represented was acquired by a national publicly traded corporation.
For the past 15 years his practice has focused primarily in the areas of post-death administration and probate and trust litigation, including will and trust contests, actions by beneficiaries against trustees, representation of trustees in actions by beneficiaries, and conservatorships.
Prior to becoming a partner at Cohen Law, A PLC with his wife, Rob was a partner at Anker, Reed, Hymes, Schreiber, and Cohen, (Anker Reed HSC).
Rob received his Juris Doctorate Degree from Pepperdine University School of Law in 2000 along with a Certificate in Dispute Resolution from the Strauss Institute at Pepperdine School of Law and his Bachelor’s Degree in History from California State University Northridge. He has been honored with selection to the Southern California Super Lawyers list from 2015 through 2022. Prior to that, he was honored with selection to the Southern California Super Lawyers – Rising Stars list each year from 2009 to 2014.
In addition, Rob was nominated as a San Fernando Valley Business Journal “Most Trusted Advisor (Law)” in 2011 and 2012, and in 2015 Rob was selected to the 40 Under 40 list by the JCI Santa Clarity Valley.
Rob is a member of the California State Bar, Los Angeles County Bar Association, and American Bar Association. He is a member of Provisors Professional Network and served as Group Leader for the Growth Affinity Group. He is a former President, Executive Vice President, and Vice President of Ritual of Congregation Beth Shalom of Santa Clarita Valley, and remains active on the Temple Board of Trustees.
